The quest for sunscreen.

We are planning a beach trip. We get there and realize we forgot sunscreen! We are staying at a place I stayed at as a child. I search through cabinets for sunscreen and come up with bottles that expired years ago. I walk all around town to various stores trying to find some. None of them have any. There is a convenience store across the street. The man offers to sell me gift cards for sunscreen. It is so odd.

To see or apply sunscreen in your dream suggests that you are refusing to see the truth in some matter. You are rejecting some advice or message. Alternatively, the dream is symbolic of an emotional wall that you are putting up. You feel the need to protect yourself against negative influences.

To dream that you are searching for something signifies the need to find something that is missing or needed in your life. The dream may be analogous to your search for love, spiritual enlightenment, peace or even a solution to a problem.

To see the beach in your dream symbolizes the meeting between your two states of mind. The sand is symbolic of the rational and mental processes while the water signifies the irrational, unsteady, and emotional aspects of yourself. It is a place of transition between the physical/material and the spiritual.

To dream that you are at a gas station indicates a need to reenergize and revitalize yourself. You may be running low on energy and need to take time out to refuel. The dream also represents your ability to convert outside resources and use it for your own needs. Alternatively, dreaming that you are in a gas station means that you need to reach out to others and offer your help.

Bathrooms – part 1,257….

I am seated in a small room with others awaiting a movie on a screen about astronomy. I excuse myself to go to the bathroom. I see each bathroom has multiple doors and I cannot get all the doors to lock. I keep getting interrupted and have to keep changing bathrooms for privacy.

This was kind of fuzzy. But…another bathroom dream. No need to copy the same entries from the dream dictionary…

There was a dream I had last week. I vaguely remember it, so I will be providing a brief past tense synopsis rather than a present tense view.**

My dream involved four men keeping me chained in a room in my home. I am not sure why. They didn’t physically harm me. They just kept me locked in a room. At one point, I was set free and then I pretended to befriend them so I could find out details to turn them in to the police. It was extremely creepy.

To dream that you are held captive suggests that you are feeling trapped in some aspect or circumstances of your waking life. You may feel trapped in your career, relationship or life in general. Alternatively, captivity dreams indicate something you are refusing to acknowledge or something that you are in denial about.

I don’t know how I feel about this interpretation. I don’t feel trapped by anything in my life. I feel like there’s something else. I’m going to branch out to other dream interpretation sites.

One way trip.

**There is a place I’ve visited a few times in recent months in my dreams. A place I’ve never been to in reality.**

I am driving in a rural setting. I turn down a road with many trees on both sides. It is a dirt road, kind of like a logging road. Just miles of dirt and shaded path ahead. I continue to drive. The road begins spiraling around a mountain and ascending. I finally reach the top. However, this is a one way. When you see the top of the road, it dead ends at the top of the mountain. The only way to the bottom is to climb down the other side like an obstacle course. You have to jump over huge boulders and balance yourself on fallen tree trunks. I finally make it. I turn around and see a brown, furry creature chasing me.

To see a mountain in your dream signifies some major obstacle and/or challenge that you have to overcome. If you are on top of the mountain, then it indicates that you have achieved and realized your goals. You have recognized your full potential. Alternatively, mountains denote a higher realm of consciousness, knowledge, and spiritual truth.

To dream that you are going around a mountain implies that you are tackling some obstacle in a roundabout manner. You are taking an indirect approach. Alternatively, dreaming of going around the mountain means that you are pacing yourself. You know your limitations.

To dream that you are going through an obstacle course symbolizes the hardships and difficulties that you are experiencing in your waking life. It represents the things that you must overcome in order to reach your goals. The elements in the obstacle course is analogous to the barriers and problems in your life.

To dream that have reached a dead end indicates that you have come to an abrupt end in the pursuit of your goals. You must find another way to achieve your goals because the current path is not working out. Alternatively, the dream may be telling you that you are going nowhere. Perhaps, the dream is symbolic of a dead end job or a dead end relationship. You need to reevaluate your options.

To dream that you are being chased signifies that you are avoiding a situation that you do not think is conquerable. It is a metaphor for some form of insecurity. In particular, to dream that you are chased by an animal represents your own unexpressed and unacknowledged anger which is being projected onto that animal. Alternatively, you may be running away from a primal urge or fear.

I am sitting on a couch between my sister in law and another family member. My husband’s cousin comes in and asks for someone to walk with him to a vending machine. He gets a soda and gives me a pile of money. I am back on the couch with my sister in law. She says she is broke and needs lunch money for work. I give her $5.00. I turn to talk to the other family member for a few minutes. I turn back and notice money missing from my bag. I see a $10 and $20 dollar bills in her bag!!

To dream that someone is stealing something from you indicates that you are experiencing an identity crisis or are suffering from some sort of loss in your life. Alternatively, the dream means that someone has stolen your success or has taken credit for something you did. Perhaps you feel that you have been treated unfairly.

To dream that you lose money suggests that you are lacking ambition, power and self-esteem. You are experiencing unhappiness and setbacks in your waking life. You may also be feeling weak, vulnerable, and out of control in your waking life.

Five represents your persuasiveness, spontaneity, boldness, daring nature, action, and humanity. The number five represents the five human senses and thus may be telling you to be more “sensitive” and be more in tune to your senses. Alternatively, the number five may reflect a change in your path or that you need to alter your course. It is also the link between heaven and earth.

Ten corresponds to closure, great strength, and gains. It also refers to the law or to the ten commandments.

The number twenty indicates that you are in need of support. Perhaps you are feeling withdrawn and isolated. The dream may signify having 20:20 vision. You are seeing something more clearly now.

To see or dream that you are on a couch represents rest, relaxation, laziness or boredom. It may also mean you need to clear you mind and thoughts.

To see a vending machine in your dream represents the things that are just outside of your grasp or reach. You need to invest a little more effort before your goals come to fruition. Consider what is inside the vending machine for further significance.

To see your sister-in-law in your dream represents characteristics in her that you find within your own self. Consider also your waking relationship with her. If you dream that you are arguing with your sister-in-law, then it suggests that you are refusing to acknowledge or accept certain qualities of your sister-in-law.

I am in an apartment building. I just moved in with my husband, mom, dad, brother and sister. (My son is not in the dream) The place looks amazing at first. Then, it flashes to nasty rooms and trash everywhere.

I cannot drive my car into my little driveway because someone has their truck and trailer stretched across it. I find the landlord and demand it be moved or I am moving.

Flashes to nightmarish, truly horrific, things. Not necessarily blood, guts and gore. But downright eery things.

I go into someone else’s apartment to compare it to ours. They have bars on the windows. I go to use the bathroom (recurring dream theme). We don’t have a private bathroom. It’s a communal one with stalls. I am using the bathroom when I look down and see black boots and look up to see eyes watching me. I start screaming and banging on the door. The person runs.

Flash to the driveway. The truck is gone, but I can’t bring my car. Unsure why.

/wake up/

Eeriest dream I’ve experienced in a long time. I was trapped in that place.

Brother Murdered

I am in a huge house, not a mansion, but a three story house. The beginning is fuzzy. We receive news that my brother has been murdered. We are not sure of the murderer. My friend and his friend (some lead singer in a band) put up fliers inquiring for information in regards to the suspect. They gather some leads and evidence and put it on our refrigerator. I start crying every time I pass the refrigerator. It is unreal that my brother is truly gone. I grab the paper off the refrigerator and go upstairs.

My next image is of myself walking down a hallway and going into a huge bedroom. I sit down in front of the computer with the evidence in hand. I start looking at it and trying to piece it together. There are bits and pieces, names of places, numbers. I am not sure how it is all related. I decide to Google one of the phone numbers. It is a number that apparently had called my brother the day he died. I look at the search results and gasp. The number belongs to the company my friend’s friend (the singer) works at…And his friend, Chloe, who has been helping us investigate the murder walks in acting shady. I close the window on the computer and hide the paper.

The next day, I am in a building when someone tells me they have leads on the murders….Chloe and the singer! I go home and act nonchalant. The TV plays some information naming Chloe as a suspect. I pretend not to hear. She walks out of the room.

Dreaming about the death of a loved one suggests that you are lacking a certain aspect or quality that the loved one embodies. Ask yourself what makes this person special or what you like about them. It is that very quality that you are lacking in your own relationships or circumstances.

Note also that dreams of murder occur frequently during periods of depression.

To see a killer in your dream suggests that an essential aspect of your emotions have been cut off. You feel that you are losing your identity and your individuality. Alternatively, this dream may represent purification and the healing process. You are standing up for yourself and putting a dramatic end to something.
